Lakayro brings culturally responsive dance education directly into schools. Our teaching artists — including NJPAC-affiliated educators — lead residencies, workshops, assemblies, and after-school programs that introduce students to Haitian and Afro-Diasporic dance with cultural context and respect.
We partner with schools to expand access to arts education, especially for students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to study cultural dance.
Residencies
Multi-week, in-depth dance residencies that build toward a culminating student performance.
Workshops
