In Programs and Education
All of our dance education programs, classes, workshops, and performances are open to participants of every background and experience level. We are intentional about serving under-resourced communities and centering culturally rooted programming, but no one is excluded from participation on the basis of who they are or where they come from.
We provide financial assistance and scholarship opportunities so that cost is not a barrier to participation for families who could not otherwise afford arts education.
In Employment and Volunteering
Lakayro recruits, hires, trains, and promotes staff and volunteers without regard to any protected characteristic. Decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and the needs of our organization and community.
We are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve, and we actively encourage applications from individuals whose backgrounds are underrepresented in the arts and nonprofit sectors.

Reporting Concerns

Retaliation against any individual who reports a concern in good faith is strictly prohibited.
